1. Melbourne Cricket Ground
Whether it’s attending an AFL match in the winter or a cricket match in the summer, the MCG is a must to be added on your bucket list. The Coliseum of Melbourne will not let you down as you sit amongst the rowdy crowd in a venue steeped with a deep history and tradition.
Known for: The AFL Grand Final, World Cup Cricket, 1956 Melbourne Olympics.

2. Flemington race Track
Known world wide amongst horse racing enthusiast. Especially for the Melbourne Cup which is staged every second Tuesday of November. Take a wander down to Flemington to one of their regular race meets. But be prepared to lose your money.
Known For: Melbourne Cup, Turnbull Stakes, Melbourne Derby.

3. Rod Laver Arena
The home of Tennis Grand Slam, The Australian Open, be sure to take a visit if in Melbourne in January, But rest assured if not with plenty of events and concerts taking place at the 15000 capacity arena.
Known For: Australian Open, Concerts.

4. Albert Park
Only a race track for the Melbourne Formula one for a couple of weeks in March, but rest assured for the remainder of the year, you walk around the Albert Park Lake, enjoy a coffee at a café or fine dining at the Restaurants on offer.
Known For: Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix.

5. Etihad Stadium
Etihad Stadium first opened in the year 2000, mainly for AFL purposes but has hosted many other sporting events and concerts over the time like Soccer, Union, Cricket and many rock concerts.
Be sure to visit the retractable Roof stadium, when closed the atmosphere is through the roof.
