It is not your typical walk in an Australian bush. Nestled in the Ferguson Valley region of Western Australia, is a kingdom for all those little garden gnomes in this world, Gnomesville. It is not quite like the movie Gnomeo & Juliet. This is much more real. But you can’t help feel like you are in a magical part of the world, where your imagination runs wild.
It is a rare sight to see, hundreds of gnomes appropriately placed and spread out far and wide in a beautiful part of the Valley. Thousands come every year to visit or place their very own gnome in a truly unique place, that you may only see once in your life.
Gnomesville is placed in Ferguson Valley area, in the South West of Western Australia. Two hours South of Perth and a stone throw from Bunbury. Enter through the town of Dardanup, the gate way of Ferguson Valley, and take Ferguson road for about 20-kilometres until you reach the round-a-bout, where Gnomesville is stationed.
How much does it cost?
Nothing, nada, bugger all. Gnomesville is free to wander amongst all the gnomes and the tall gum trees in the natural fresh air of the Aussie bushland.
What to do?
Bring a picnic lunch and buy a bottle of wine from one of the local wineries and enjoy lunch in nature. Take a stroll with the family and experience the great outdoors with your new little friends and the beautiful sounds of the nearby creek.
Ferguson Valley is more than just gnomes. Spend a day in the Valley, with great hiking, waterfalls, wineries and breweries to keep you on your toes. Moody Cow Brewery is a great place to stop for lunch. Good food, Good beer.
There you have it, Gnomesville. Where the Gnomes come to life. And if you find yourself in the South West, come and take a peek, the gnomes are waiting to say hi.
