A brand new year brings new hope, it’s also a time to reflect on the year that has just passed us by quicker than you can say “happy new year” the year 2017 and what a year it was in travel. For me, there is no better way to reflect on the year than going through a few of my favourite travel photos of the year.

Many amazing destinations were visited throughout the year, with many great moments made, and it is fitting that some photos are more cherished than others in a year that will be remembered personally for the right reasons and that is an epic year of travelling the world.

The old and new of Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City

The old and new of Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam is an incredible city to visit and if you can dodge the manic traffic there is plenty to see and do in the bustling city. Ho Chi Minh is a city with traditional buildings, modern skyscrapers and even broken down houses that look they are about to collapse and to me this picture sums up the city perfectly.

Culture and tradition is alive in Vietnam

Walking the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and in downtown Saigon is alive with tourists and locals having a great time. If you venture past The Old Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedra, tradition and culture comes out to play and the locals even like to dress up in traditional Vietnamese dress to add to the setting.
