The Himalayan Mountains are right there before you for all to see. It’s still some distance away, but the mountain’s overpowering presence makes it appear much closer.

While staying at the Hotel Himalayan Villa, I could see the Langtang Himalayan Ranges in all their glory, and they looked nothing short of sensational, courtesy of my private balcony in a luxury hotel room.

I came to this hotel in Nagarkot by luck, meaning it was not my choice to stay here. Still, I am very grateful it was included in the conclusion to the Chisapani and Nagarkot Trek I participated in during my Nepal trip.

I haven’t seen every terrace in every hotel worldwide, and I am sure many have unbelievable views. However, this hotel in Nagarkot Kathmandu is undoubtedly one of the finest I have seen. When witnessing the best natural scenery, the Himalayan Villa is in the upper echelon.

Think about this for a second! You grab an Everest beer from the Royal Gurkha Bar. It fits the theme perfectly. You take your beer outside and slowly stand out on the Open Terrace, drinking the cold refreshment and staring at the mesmerising Himalayan views.

Your eyes remain fixated on the mountains because you want to take in the stunning scenic surroundings as much as possible, at least while you can. You keep staring until the sun goes down, eager for the sunrise and hoping you’ll wake up to a clear day.

 

 

 

Evening Drinks at the Royal Gurkha Bar

Imagine having the freedom to choose where you want to enjoy your drink of choice, whether it be a bottle of beer, a glass of wine, or any other liquor. You have two options—either take your drink to the open terrace, where you can take in the breathtaking views, or relax in the elegant Royal Gurkha Bar located inside the luxurious Hotel Himalaya in Nepal.

Nepal can get chilly, especially in the evening, so it’s always a smart move to relish the warmth of the comfortable chairs inside the bar while socializing with your loved ones. The Elegant hotel suite room

I loved my Suite Room at the Hotel Himalayan Villa.

I was lucky enough to stay in a spacious and luxurious room at the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and featured a comfortable king-size bed, which was perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. The room also had a cable television with mainly Indian and Nepalese channels, so I could unwind and relax in front of the TV. In addition, the room had tea and coffee facilities, which made it easy for me to enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee whenever I wanted.

The bathroom was the highlight of the room for me. It was large and beautiful, with a spacious shower area where I could enjoy a hot shower. It was like having my own little spa in the room. The room also had a private balcony and an open terrace that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Whether I was standing on the terrace or sitting on the balcony, I felt at peace, taking in the views and enjoying the fresh air.

My only regret was that I was travelling alone in Nepal and couldn’t share this incredible hotel with my wife. This is a moment that you want to savor with those you love.

A Morning Nagarkot Sunrise to remember

I’ll be honest: I didn’t get the incredible sunrise. Sometimes, that is your luck, but I was not about to complain about the little things that didn’t go my way due to thick cloud coverage; I had already seen such incredible scenery the afternoon before and the previous days.

While my eyes couldn’t witness the sunrise over the Himalayan Mountains, that doesn’t mean they aren’t there, and I hear the morning views can be incredible. Whether you catch the light from your private balcony or at the Open Terrace, set your alarm clock early to see the best of Nepal from the Hotel Himalayan Villa.
