Lot 10 is located in Kuching City, Borneo, with everything you need within walking proximity to the hotel. If it’s not nearby, GRAB transportation will take you the rest of the way for a low price.

The hotel is only a 15-minute drive from the Kuching International Airport and a 10-walking distance to the vibrant nightlife along the Waterfront of Sarawak River. The ideal location means you’ll get the best of both worlds if you intend to stay in Kuching for a quick transit stop or a good length vacation.

Everyone loves a hotel lobby, as the first impressions are the best, and it gets your holiday off to the right start from the get-go.

At lot 10 Hotel, it’s not your world-famous lobby with the glitz and glamour. Although, it comes with excellent interior design, a relaxing atmosphere, and, more importantly, friendly and smiling staff members who are waiting to welcome you.

Delightful Lot 10 Rooms for any traveller

For my stay at Lot 10 Boutique Hotel Kuching, I was greeted with a Deluxe Room with plenty of space to move about and kick back.

The deluxe room had everything required with a King-Size bed, cable television, in-room safe, air-conditioning, a private bathroom and tea & coffee amenities for a caffeine fix in the morning.

It was the perfect room to escape to after a busy day sightseeing in Kuching, where you could relax on the bed and watch television in the evening. Before having a peaceful night’s sleep on the comfortable mattress provided.

All snugged and comfortable in my deluxe room.

A buffet breakfast is the best way to start any day, especially when an exhausting day in the Malaysian heat sightseeing is a sure thing.

At Lot 10, it’s the breakfast for champions, with a variety of breakfast options to suit any dietary needs, and the best part is that breakfast is included in the price of your room with no hidden charges.

How cool is that!

For your breakfast buffet, you choose rice, noodles, casseroles, fresh fruits, a good selection of salads and an egg station that will serve up a delicious omelette.

It won’t take you long when entering the Pipe Restaurant how the name came about, with Pipes seen on the restaurant’s ceiling, hence, the appropriate title.

It’s the perfect place to come to after a hard slog in the heat to cool off with your favourite Tiger fresh off the tap while mingling with your travelling companions.

It’s especially recommended to make full use of the happy hours of 5 pm to 8 pm for a discounted drink.

The Pipe restaurant opens from 10 am to 10 pm, serving your favourite alcoholic drinks and making for a beautiful place to have a sit-down meal with a selection of Malaysian and International Cuisines.

On the third floor of the Lot 10 Hotel are two fabulous banquet and function rooms when you are in Kuching and need function rooms for work gatherings or wedding functions.

The Banquet Room is big and hosts 60-people, and the function room next door holds enough for 100 guests.

Your eyes remain fixated on the mountains because you want to take in the stunning scenic surroundings as much as possible, at least while you can. You keep staring until the sun goes down, eager for the sunrise and hoping you’ll wake up to a clear day.

Imagine having the freedom to choose where you want to enjoy your drink of choice, whether it be a bottle of beer, a glass of wine, or any other liquor. You have two options—either take your drink to the open terrace, where you can take in the breathtaking views, or relax in the elegant Royal Gurkha Bar located inside the luxurious Hotel Himalaya in Nepal.

Nepal can get chilly, especially in the evening, so it’s always a smart move to relish the warmth of the comfortable chairs inside the bar while socializing with your loved ones. You can occasionally glance out the window and marvel at the serene surroundings. Regardless of your choice, you’re in for an eventful evening in the charming town of Nagarkot, Nepal.

I loved my Suite Room at the Hotel Himalayan Villa.

I was lucky enough to stay in a spacious and luxurious room at the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and featured a comfortable king-size bed, which was perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. The room also had a cable television with mainly Indian and Nepalese channels, so I could unwind and relax in front of the TV. In addition, the room had tea and coffee facilities, which made it easy for me to enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee whenever I wanted.

The bathroom was the highlight of the room for me. It was large and beautiful, with a spacious shower area where I could enjoy a hot shower. It was like having my own little spa in the room. The room also had a private balcony and an open terrace that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Whether I was standing on the terrace or sitting on the balcony, I felt at peace, taking in the views and enjoying the fresh air.

My only regret was that I was travelling alone in Nepal and couldn’t share this incredible hotel with my wife. This is a moment that you want to savor with those you love.

Nagarkot is full of adventure and relaxation; you can get the best of both worlds at this hotel.

For activities, you can organise a small trek in the mountains, go mountain biking, request a pony ride for the kids, or enjoy a walk through the local village, which is a must in Nagarkot.

A Morning Nagarkot Sunrise to remember

I’ll be honest: I didn’t get the incredible sunrise. Sometimes, that is your luck, but I was not about to complain about the little things that didn’t go my way due to thick cloud coverage; I had already seen such incredible scenery the afternoon before and the previous days.

While my eyes couldn’t witness the sunrise over the Himalayan Mountains, that doesn’t mean they aren’t there, and I hear the morning views can be incredible. Whether you catch the light from your private balcony or at the Open Terrace, set your alarm clock early to see the best of Nepal from the Hotel Himalayan Villa.

These hotels are the antithesis of luxury but are absurdly affordable and offer a decent place to rest your head for the night. You may not get a room with a view, but you will get a bed to sleep in and a shower to freshen up after a long day of exploring. And let’s be honest, when you’re travelling, you’re not spending much time in your hotel room anyway.

Just a quick note on the Kathmandu hotel price I paid – it may not be the same rate you get, as it varies depending on the time of year or season you visit Nepal. Regardless of the price, these hotels provide a safe and comfortable option for budget-conscious travellers looking to experience all of Nepal’s offers.

The Hotel Horizon Kathmandu was an old and rundown hotel that lacked modern amenities. Despite that, the hotel provided a satisfying daily breakfast that was included in the room rate. The room itself was pretty basic, without a television or heating.

The outside noise could be heard, but the room had a large bed, plenty of blankets for warmth, a hot shower, and a desk for writing. I paid only AUD$13 per night for this room, making it an affordable option for budget travellers exploring Kathmandu.

The hotel was located in the bustling streets of Thamel, a popular tourist area in Kathmandu. This meant that significant restaurants, bars, and cafes surrounded the hotel. Also, taxi stands were nearby, making visiting the city’s main tourist attractions easy.
