Strategies for Making Money Abroad

What if you could make money while you travel? Imagine exploring the world, meeting new people and having new experiences while earning an income. It may sound too good to be accurate, but there are many ways to make money abroad. Let's discuss the options on how to make money overseas.

Freelancing

Making money while travelling abroad has become easier than ever, thanks to the rise of freelancing opportunities. With just a laptop and a steady Internet connection, anyone can unleash their creativity and earn a living anywhere. It doesn't matter if you're not a world-class programmer or a passionate writer - you can still succeed as a freelancer. There are countless avenues for creative expression, such as content creation, design, marketing, and programming. The endless possibilities and the freedom to choose the work you love can make every day feel like a vacation.

Several significant sites you can offer your services, such as PeoplePerHour and Upwork. You'll bid for jobs and compete with other talents like yourself to complete a project on both. The ones who regularly use these sites to make money while travelling are surprised that not many people take advantage of the same - it's such an easy way to cash in a bit extra and eat out every day.

Skype

This nifty communication tool is for way more than calling your parents while you're away. People who used to spend their days in an office, helping and counselling others, have found a solution to Skype. Now, they can stay comfortably abroad for most of the year, continue their work and only return home for a couple of months of the year.

All sorts of professions can take advantage of this: tutors, therapists, coaches, counsellors, et cetera. While I can't speak for those who skipped the traditional route and started off working through Skype immediately, most people already have a business set up before attempting this.

They ask their usual clients if they'd be happy to continue the sessions remotely - and if they've been in touch with you for a while already, most of them are glad to do so. Remember that you need to stay somewhere with an excellent Internet connection, so it might be an idea to find a quality resort if this is your plan - you'll be making money in any way. An unstable connection can be the end of your young Skype career.

Continue your therapy or tutoring sessions, as usual, do it via the Internet instead - and make sure you don't show off the glittering blue skies and palm trees in the background if you're a therapist. Such as shame with your seasonal depression; look how sunny it is here, right?

Teach English

Teaching English is a fantastic way to make money abroad while experiencing a new culture. It's a popular option, with plenty of established programmes. While it has a reputation for being well-paid, confirming this before leaping is essential. If you enjoy working with people and have the patience to be an effective teacher, teaching English can be an enriching experience.

Not only will you make money, but you'll also have the opportunity to volunteer abroad and explore other parts of the world. Plus, you'll get to know the locals and gain a deeper understanding of the place you're in. So, if you're looking for a way to make money while immersing yourself in a new culture, teaching English could be the perfect fit.

Get a job in the hospitality industry.

Becoming a part of the industry means you can ask around at the local resorts and holiday places to see if they need extra help. If you're there during their high season, the chances that they need your kind help are pretty high.

Think about where you'll be able to thrive and see if they have any bartender jobs available, cleaning duties, or even a position on a cruise ship. The great thing about this industry is that the jobs are seasonal, and you'll be able to leap from one place to the next - making money as you go and continuing to explore the world.

The ones who say they would love to travel more but can't afford it haven't looked hard enough. They don't need to look for a long time; people like us are everywhere, and technology has made it easy for anyone to enjoy their nomadic lifestyle. Live your life as you want to, and make sure you can cash in while you're at it.

If you're tired of the traditional 9-5 grind and yearn to explore the world, there's no need to wait for retirement. You can make money while travelling and create a lifestyle most people only dream of. While it may not be easy, it is possible to earn a living overseas. With careful planning and execution, you can make your travel dreams a reality and get paid to see the world.

Are you earning a living and making money abroad? How did you make it happen in the comments below?

The Tragic War Story of the Devastating Clusters Bombs in Laos

The Tragic War Story of the Devastating Clusters Bombs in Laos

The tragic tale of war harmed a nation; learn about the cluster bombs in Laos during the Vietnam War.

Cluster bombs in Laos are a tragic reminder of the devastating impact of war. While every country has its unique story, the horrors experienced in Laos during the Vietnam War and beyond are especially heart-wrenching. Innocent lives were lost due to the deadly cluster bombs that were dropped; even today, the effects are still being felt.

Those who visit Vientiane City in Laos should stop at the COPE Visitor Centre. The centre not only provides artificial limbs and walking aids to those in need, but it also serves as a museum that offers an in-depth look at the tragedy that unfolded in Laos.

In particular, visitors should watch the documentary detailing how the cluster bombs destroyed entire villages and claimed many innocent lives. It is an important reminder of the devastating impact of war and the need for us to work towards peace in our world.

The Tragic War Story of the Devastating Clusters Bombs in Laos

The tragic war story of the devastating cluster bombs in Laos must be told. Referred to as the most bombed country per capita in history, Laos fell victim to these destructive weapons during the Vietnam War. The United States dropped the bombs between 1964 and 1973, and many failed to detonate on impact, creating an ongoing threat in the country for decades.

As a result, Laos is now plagued with vast areas of unexploded ordnance, causing countless deaths, injuries, and hindrances to the country's progress and development. The sad truth is that this issue is still very much present in Laos today and serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of war.

What are the Cluster Bombs?

Cluster bombs are some of the deadliest weapons on the planet, with the ability to cause massive destruction with just one release. These bombs are made up of multiple smaller bombs, called bomblets, that are dropped from above and scattered over a large area. These bomblets can cause catastrophic damage upon detonation, taking out entire buildings and structures.

Although these weapons were initially designed for military purposes, they have also been found to have devastating effects on civilian populations. It's essential to learn as much as possible about cluster bombs and their products to work towards a world where every person can live in peace and safety.

How the Cluster Bombs in Laos Affected the Lives of the Local Villagers

The Vietnam War was a devastating period in world history. Apart from the horrors of war, this conflict's legacy is still being felt in Laos. The US air force dropped millions of cluster bombs over the country, which continue to terrorise Laos's people. Because they didn't want to bring the bombs back to base in Thailand, the US dropped them on Laos.

Unfortunately, many bombs did not detonate and remain alive to this day, hidden beneath the earth's surface. This had tragic consequences for the people of Laos, who continued to farm and play in these areas for years after the war. Injuries and fatalities were expected as the bombs exploded randomly, tearing apart gardening tools, limbs, and even innocent children at play.

To help those who have been affected by the bombs, the Lao government opened COPE Visitor Centre in 1997, a dedicated facility that provides prosthetic limbs, walking aids, and wheelchairs to those who have been injured.

What has been done to make it right through the years

Despite the devastating impact of cluster bombs on Laos during the Vietnam War, the United States has taken financial responsibility for their clean-up. The detonation rate has improved with teams deployed to the region and resources invested in recovery efforts. Despite this progress, many cluster bombs remain alive and are buried in Laotian soil.

However, there is good news to report. In 2016, Barack Obama became the first American President to visit Laos during the Southeast Asia Summit. During his visit, he pledged $90 million towards clearing the unexploded bombs. This action is a step towards reconciliation and can potentially improve the lives of those living in impacted communities.

Why you Should Volunteer Abroad Once in your Life

For many, travelling is not only about seeing new sights or lounging on a beach - it's about doing something meaningful, too. That's why the idea of volunteering abroad is so appealing. Not only do you get to explore new countries and cultures, but you also get to make a positive impact on the world around you. And the options for volunteer trips are endless, from teaching English in rural villages to helping with wildlife conservation projects. Of course, budget is always a concern when it comes to travel, but thankfully volunteering abroad can be one of the most affordable ways to see the world.

Volunteering abroad is undeniably appealing, but the excitement can quickly fade away when you begin to consider the cost. The various volunteering duties, from teaching English to animal care and environmental conservation, make anyone's heart race eagerly. However, the truth is that international volunteering costs are not easily affordable for everyone. This reality may lead you to re-evaluate your bucket list and question whether pursuing this dream is worth it. Yet, even if you can't volunteer abroad right now, don't cross it off the index altogether. No one says you need to volunteer your services tomorrow or next year. Take the time to plan and save up for this opportunity, and you'll be able to cross an unforgettable experience off your bucket list.

If you've ever had the itch to volunteer abroad but haven't quite scratched it yet, keep it in your mind because someday, your chance will come. 12 Things to Do for a Perfect Romantic Escape in Bali

If you're looking for a romantic getaway in Asia, there's no better place than Islands of God. Bali has something for everyone with its stunning beaches, lush jungles, and sacred temples. Here are nine things to do in Bali for the perfect romantic escape:

1. Stretch out at the mystical Tjampuhan Spa

When finding the perfect spot for a romantic spa getaway, look no further than the Tjampuhan riverside spa in Bali. This sacred space offers more than just a relaxing day of pampering; it's a place where you can truly heal and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the hot and cold spring jacuzzi situated in a magical, mythical stone cavern.

The water gushing forth was beyond soothing, and adding in the stunning surroundings was like a dream. And the best part? You can experience it all with your loved one by your side. They say elephants never forget, and I'll never forget the unique attraction of the Elephant Safari Park that adjoins the spa. From the treatment rooms, you can catch glimpses of these gentle giants. It's the perfect view for an ideal escape.

2. Enjoy an evening of Fairytale Cuisine

I must admit, when it comes to dining, I'm always looking for something different that shakes things up a bit. And let me tell you, Frankenstein's Laboratory in Bali epitomises others. Who wouldn't want to dine among zombies, pirates, and Frankenstein himself? This place is weird, wild, and romantic all rolled into one.

Frankenstein's Laboratory is the perfect choice for couples seeking an unforgettable evening of high-class fun. And it gets even better - as the night wears on, the monsters come alive, terrifying you until you scream for mercy. Don't worry; all the horror is balanced with live music, creepy cocktails, and monster bites. Oh, and did I mention the monster band? Vampires and mummies, people - it doesn't get much cooler than that.

3. Visit the sea of gold at Desa Belok

As I drove from Bedugul to Kintamani, I could never have imagined what I was about to see. What lay before me was a breathtaking sight that I will never forget. The Desa Belok fields of marigolds, also known as the sea of gold, were awe-inspiring. As a lover of flowers, their brilliant orange and yellow hues took my breath away. But, as I soon discovered, these marigolds are more than just a feast for the eyes.

Standing surrounded by this sea of gold, I felt an electrifying sense of wonder. For the Balinese people, they are an essential offering to the Supreme Balinese God. If you're ever in the area, I urge you to take a short fifteen-minute drive to experience the beauty of these stunning marigold fields.

4. Stroll along the Campuhan Ridge

As my partner and I set off on our romantic escape in Bali, the soft light of the rising sun casts a warm glow over the picturesque rice fields and quaint villages we passed. I remember the feeling of stepping onto the Campuhan Ridge trail in Bali and being instantly enchanted by the stunning natural beauty surrounding me. It was like stepping into a movie set - a beautiful and surreal experience.

As we walked and talked, enjoying each other's company, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment and the opportunity to experience this unusually romantic walk along Campuhan Ridge. It was a memory we would always treasure, a testament to Bali's stunning beauty and peacefulness. With nobody else around, save for the occasional butterfly; we felt like we had this enchanting path.

8. Have a picnic at Bukit Asah Bugbug

I recently discovered a romantic escape in Bali that took my breath away. Nestled in the hills of Bukit Adah, this hidden paradise offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean that will leave you in awe. From the coral reefs to the scattered islands, it's the perfect place to watch the sunrise and fall deeply in love with your significant other.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 10. Visit the Uluwatu Temple

Have you ever dreamt of travelling to Bali with your loved one? Bali is where romance is in the air, and the Uluwatu Temple is one of the most romantic things to do in Bali. I was blown away by the stunning views of the Indian Ocean from the temple's cliff. Watching the sunset over the ocean with my partner was an incredibly romantic experience.

If you plan a romantic trip to Bali, add the Uluwatu Temple to your itinerary. The calm and peaceful atmosphere of the temple added to the romantic ambience. It's truly a romantic paradise!

11. Watch the Sunset at Tanah Lot

Watching the sunset at Tanah Lot in Bali was an unforgettable experience for someone who loves romantic adventures. The temple's location on a rock formation in the ocean made for a stunning backdrop as the sun gently descended into the horizon. The tranquil atmosphere and the sounds of the waves crashing against the rock were both soothing and mesmerising, and it was easy to lose track of time while taking in this natural beauty.

Additionally, the traditional Balinese dance performance only added to the magic of this moment. From start to finish, watching the sunset at Tanah Lot was quickly one of the most romantic things I have ever done in Bali.

12. Watch a Traditional Balinese Dance Performance

One of my favourite romantic things to do in Bali is to watch a traditional Balinese dance performance with my partner. The intricate movements and colourful costumes of the dancers are mesmerising to watch. And the accompanying gamelan music provides the perfect atmosphere for a romantic evening out. There are many different venues, so it's easy to find a performance that fits your itinerary.

Plus, getting a taste of Balinese culture through dance and music is a unique and memorable experience you will never forget.

The Blue Lagoon Vang Vieng is the perfect place to relax and heal after a long day exploring all Laos has to offer. This natural wonder is tucked away in a quiet corner of the country and is the perfect place to escape the unforgiving heat.

The calm, fresh waters are healing and refreshing, providing the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. So why not take a break and visit The Blue Lagoon in Vang Vieng? You won't regret it!

It's the perfect healing therapy from the unforgiving Laos heat, relaxing in the calm, fresh waters in the stunning Vang Vieng area. It refreshes the body and the mind like no other, cooling off in the shade of the overhanging trees that keep the water refreshing at all times and quite a chill when you first step in.

The day trip caps off most day trips in Vang Vieng, whether kayaking the Nam Song River, zip-lining in the hills or hiking the fabulous outdoors. After a hard slog during the peak of the heat during the day, The Blue Lagoon is the perfect conclusion before heading back to the town at night for a couple of cold Lao beers.

Getting to the Blue Lagoon is easy, as it's only a short tuk-tuk ride or bicycle journey from the centre of the town. It's well signposted, and you can't miss it!

As previously mentioned, you can include the Blue Lagoon on any very affordable day trips that are on offer in Vang Vieng. There are plenty, and check out any deals that include or only include The Blue Lagoon. Get down to a travel agent on the streets.

Cooling off in the Blue Lagoon.

The picturesque Blue Lagoon Lake

The Blue Lagoon provides the perfect opportunity to escape the heat and enjoy peace with its calm, fresh waters and overhanging trees.

It's the perfect location to appreciate the beauty growing in Vang Vieng because you've probably already kayaked the NamSong River, enjoyed the thrills of zip-lining and entered the dark caves.

Therefore, you have the right to unwind in the chilling waters of the calm Blue Lagoon.

Why visit the Blue Lagoon Vang Vieng

There are numerous reasons to visit the Blue Lagoon, some I have already mentioned, but here are a few more.

The Laos tourist attraction is an excellent place to take some time out. It can be hard work travelling, and you rarely get any 'me' time; well, this is your chance! Sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

A golden photo opportunity to share on Instagram

If you're looking for some photo opportunities, look no further! The Blue Lagoon is postcard-perfect, and you can snap away to your heart's content. Your family and friends back home will be green with envy as you've travelled halfway across the world to see nature at its finest.

It's the perfect place to meet other travellers.

If you're travelling solo or with others, the Blue Lagoon is an excellent place to meet other backpackers and travellers. There's always someone around to chat with, and you can share your Laos experiences.

Vang Vieng

Picturesque Views of Vang Vieng.

What to do at The Blue Lagoon in Laos

As you would expect, the main activity at The Blue Lagoon is swimming! You can dip in the refreshing waters, float around on a lilo or paddle at the edge. However, let's take a deeper look at what else you can do during your day experience.

Take a plunge off the big tree.

If you're feeling adventurous, why not try tree jumping? There is a significant branch that places itself ideally over the centre of the Lagoon. Many travellers, like myself, take the opportunity to cool off in style and jump into the water from up high. It's great fun, and you can make some new friends while you're at it!

Lagoon Vang Vieng

Get ready to jump off a tree.

Chill in the freshwater of the Lagoon

It may come as a fright when you first touch the cold water, but you soon get used to it as you take in the crowds of nationalities around you and marvel at the scenery. Then you can sit back and take in the nature around you.

Splash around. It's not only relaxing on offer at the Blue Lagoon Vang Vieng.

Swinging on the rope, jumping on the tyre, or conquering your fear of heights while making a splash in the water, plenty of splashes can be had in The Blue Lagoon. Make a splash whether you're an adult or a kid in the shallower waters!

Blue Lagoon Vang Vieng

Make a splash; why not? You're playing in the water.

Relax, because you can; it's paradise

The Blue Lagoon in Vang Vieng is an excellent place to relax and have fun. Its clear blue waters and scenic surroundings make it the perfect place to take some time.

Sunbake in the huts

I had enough of the water in the overcrowded Lagoon and needed a little siesta in the Laos sun. Get in quick and grab a hut, roll out the large beach towel and have a little snooze in the afternoon sun; don't forget to apply the sunscreen.

Kids can go down the water slide.

Even the kids can have some fun with a water slide gushing into the shallower waters of The Blue Lagoon. They can splash around to their heart's content without you worrying too much.
